Booking Videos

Video (VHS and DVD) booking service

The library provides VHS and DVD videos for classroom use by instructors.

  • Videos have been purchased with the appropriate public performance rights, enabling you to use them in a classroom setting.
  • The library catalogue lists all the videos available for booking.
  • If the library does not own the video you require, speak to staff about arranging an inter-library loan.

Videos are booked on a first come, first served basis. Booking early means you are more likely to have the resources you want when you want them.

Library staff prefer to take pre-bookings for a whole term. Fill out the online booking form or email your request. Lansdowne: 250-370-3607 or Interurban: 250-370-4532

If you are assigning a video for viewing outside of class you can place a video on reserve. Students can borrow the video for 2 hours, and view it in the library. DVD/VHS players are located in all group study rooms at Lansdowne and Interurban, and  in the viewing rooms at Lansdowne. Students can book a room to view a video at the library's student room booking system.
